What Got Done
Customer reported a clunk over bumps. Pulled the wheel, grabbed the sway bar end link and felt obvious play. Inspected the boots — sliced open with no grease left, so the ball stud was running metal-to-metal inside the housing. That's the source of the clunk and would have eaten the sway bar bushings next.
Replaced both front end links, regreased the sway bar bushings, torqued to spec, and road-tested. Clunk gone, steering feels tighter through corners.
Inspection, both front end links replaced, sway bar bushing greasing, torque-to-spec, road test. Parts billed separately.
